glad that the interview is closed app so i can reuse anecdotes and stories from my primary and secondary lmao
So realistically speaking, what yall think about Kira? I know its new this cycle and the plan is that they will use it to screen applicants next year, but you think theyll use it in the decision making process for this cycle or is it just being used as a test run? Because other users have said that the dean stated that everyone who gets a kira will get a virtual interview.
If they use it for the decision making process for this cycle do you think a lot of weight will be placed on it? I think if anything theyll adjust the time that you have on the kira for next years applicants, maybe give 1 minute to think. Because i know other schools like Wake give its applicants 2 minutes to think before being able to respond, whereas it seems like you have 4 minutes to answer (which involves the thinking time).

i think the time to think takes away from what they are trying to accomplish with using it, especially in an asynchronous setting.

my guess is not that they will change anything about how kira works for next year but that they are using this year as data collection. I think this year it will be used relatively minimally in the final decision (or maybe not at all).

perhaps they are collecting data to see if it could eventually replace the MMI portion and they would then go to a more traditional live interview experience

I don't think these schools send invites out based of chronological order of submission. So you do have a chance.

Agreed - I am a reapp but last year I got an II in January IIRC? And I submitted early September. It’s definitely not in chronological order
Can someone go over how the KIRA assessments are structured? How much of a time do we get per question to answer them, and are they mostly ethical-based scenarios like CASPER?
I don't think we're allowed to share that because we signed an NDA
