i hope it isn't specific to any particular program, given the website says they will decide whether to extend full interview post kira (the website also says five days to respond to kira so obv there is plenty of contradictory information)

did they say if they use Kira in the final decision?

They did not say, but I would imagine yes. What they told us was something along the lines of "we revamped the interview process this year, and Kira will not be used to cut applicants prior to the live interview(s) but it will be in future cycles)" Obviously this doesn't specifically acknowledge and I would not imagine Kira will be the biggest factor in final decisions but I would be surprised if they ignored it

This was said within the context of the general Umass interview session, which had applicants from the different tracks as well as for the general program.
