Does anyone know if interviews are open or closed file?

Got the A this evening!! Feel free to DM for any advice :) Happy to help out, and best of luck to everyone <3
Congratulations! That's amazing. I considered doing ED but thought it too risky. So glad it worked out for you.

Where did you find that information?
I found it on MSAR. They interviewed 401 OOS and accepted 104, and interviewed 220 IS and accepted 184. Granted, accepted offers for both categories would be higher because those are just matriculants, but much more bleak for OOS than the high 80’s I’ve been hearing about.

oos also probably doesn't look as high in msar since uic is soooo expensive. if someone oos gets more than one A chances are they might end up going to a different school, so i'm sure the actual acceptances are much higher than matriculants. uic oos literally costs more than most private schools.

That’s a good point. I wasn't all that surprised to find out that the OOS acceptances could be lower, but I didn’t think about it in terms of the COA. I’ll just keep my fingers crossed and try to stop overanalyzing the data lol

Accepted and matriculated are different numbers. MSAR only shows who MATRICULATED, aka accepted the offer. You cant look at that number when calculating post II acceptance %.

True, but you know the bare minimum for how many acceptances they throw out post II. I've heard a good rule of thumb is to multiply matriculant number by 1.5-2 for likely total acceptances since people may not choose that school and go elsewhere
Thank you all for reasoning through this with me😭
I have an interview scheduled for 10/14, but I haven't received any follow-up email with details for the interview day. Does anyone who has already interviewed here know when they send the schedule?
