Never received info session email, it was only on the portal under "events" and I believe it was mentioned in the steps for the interview.

My bad. last year they had 7 info sessions, and the year before they had 6 (Apparently, that final interview batch didn’t get an info session) I’d expect around 8 waves, since batches don’t always have 80 people. Last year’s first wave oct 3 only had about 35 students.

They roughly send two-thirds of IIs to go out before New Year’s. In previous years, getting an II after New Year’s was like a long shot for Acceptance, but last year that group did fine. So I think timing of invite doesn't necessarily matter anymore.

Thanks for providing your insight! I think someone had mentioned that there were roughly 131 people who attended the first info session yesterday. Do you think UCSF might be increasing their interview pool or changing their process for this cycle?

Could be that they are front loading interviews

I think yesterday’s info session had everybody who has been invited to interview so far up to yesterday’s date but they might be interviewing at any date over the whole month bc the interview day itself after that only had 10 or so ppl

It is interesting. Dean Albert and her team still here so I don't think they would change their process or how many they interview. Maybe just front loading invites. and if I not mistaken, they still interview regulars Tuesday and Thursday around 15-16 students each.

according to cycle track but not sure. MSTP applicants are less vocal than md only, I know this is a common thing to say but it feels like the MSTP cycle is slower this year.

Attended yesterday’s session but my invite is scheduled for mid-October. How did you know about the info session? Did they send you an email invite for the session only?
