Most surprising part of this is the fact that the GPA they chose to go along with a 517 is a 3.73 lol

i went to an admissions meeting and they said they screen people out if they have <508 mcat and <3.1 gpa if that helps (bc of doj)

That might be true looking at the stats on here of the people who have received secondaries. The lowest mcat is 508. Compared to last cycle where the lowest was 496 who received a secondary. Interesting, I guess they're scared of getting sued by trump admin

I find this a bit interesting though. IMO this cut-off is rather high considering schools like the Mayo Clinic use a cutoff of a 510 MCAT. I'm having trouble linking this to race; why can't they have a lower cutoff of like a <503 and <3.1 and just evaluate all applicants (ORM and URM alike) equally? I am also interested to see how that will affect this year's avg MCATs.
