Anyone have any insight on the UCI MMI Kira?

When do you guys think we'll be getting the first decisions? Seems like it was 10/24 last cycle...

I interviewed early September.

Late September here! Wishing you that acceptance soon. Keep us posted! They said 6-8 weeks in the Kira assessment video but maybe a little more since their admissions director went to riverside.

Sorry, I forgot about this forum. I got the call on 10/29 and more recently the official offer on the portal. I am so happy and excited about moving back to California.

Did you just accept the offer on the portal and not on AMCAS yet? I noticed the offer on the portal mentions us having to also indicate accepting the offer on AMCAS, which I assume to be the "Plan to Enroll" button that becomes available next year, but I'm not sure.

Yes! That’s correct. Right now you accept the offer you receive just to let them know you have not changed your mind and want them to save your seat. Later on you will commit on AMCAS like you said.

have any of u guys who have been accepted received letter in the mail yet? it's been a month since i got the call/email but nothing in the mail yet /not sure when to submit things for financial aid

I haven't received any physical mail yet either. I submitted FAFSA, but not sure when to submit the other requirements for aid. According to this site concerning financial aid deadlines for LAST cycle (https://ofas.uci.edu/professional-students/school-of-medicine/dates-and-deadlines.php) looks like deadlines for "SOM Institutional Application, IRS Tax Data, SOM Verification Form" won't be until around May next year, assuming the timeline will look the same this cycle. And I haven't received my UCI Student ID yet, so I'm assuming I won't be able to start working on in my financial aid portal yet.

Nothing! I started FAFSA, although I was told that PRIME decisions and financial awards will be released in the Spring. This is my top choice, even over my in-state schools (even UTSW), but I do worry about the cost.

UTSW is way better than uci in prestige. why would you want uci, especially with the added consideration that utsw in state tuition is pennies compared to uci oos

There is a chance I might get a full ride and also family reasons.

Hey y'all! Interviewed on 10/13 but no word back from UCI yet ... In the interview they said I'll hear back in 6-8 weeks. Anyone else on here interview and hear back later than 8 weeks with good news? j tryna keep my hopes up cuz i went to undergrad here and would love to stick around lol

I know this has been asked before but has no one that’s been accepted in Oct/Nov received physically mailed acceptance letter yet? Per the email it was supposed to be sent in “the next month” :/ also waiting to get my UCI Student ID

Hopefully those letters come in the new year/Jan. I wonder what they include in those mailed acceptance letters. Some UCI goodies would be cool! Their secondary portal showed a way to get a UCI net ID in the status tab, but I think it said to wait until you received an acceptance. I haven't opened the link yet, though.

I’ve gotten the A then but still can’t activate my UCI Student ID since it won’t appear on my status page, even though says it might appear by late November. Have you gotten a UCI Student ID yet on your status page 👀 probably just paranoid lol
