I'm still dragging through some very late secondary apps, which absolutely sucks... But I am super grateful to have my first interview with UC Davis coming up next week! Does anyone have any tips or advice to share on how to prep or what to broadly expect? Would truly appreciate your insights!

UC Davis requires students to sign an NDA before the MMI, so nobody can tell you about the interview or what to expect. Best of luck!

Does anyone know if secondaries are being sent out or are the effectively done?

Does anyone know the best way to send an interview thank-you letter to UC Davis? It seems that the portal does not have a document submission feature.

I emailed them a thank you letter post interview

I think you're doing just fine, friend. It's kinda hard to send one for MMI, plus it's been awhile since your interview so it might come off as a bit strange? I don't think UC Davis is the type of school to hold a no post-II thank you against you.

I just received a secondary yesterday! I thought I got screened out but I guess not. This is 5 months after I submitted my primaries by the way.

Dang, I am a reapplicant (got a secondary last year), but did not get one this year. Maybe my most crushing R yet lmao

is davis not going to have its huge january II wave like last year? are they like... kinda done???

anyone who interviewed end of November/early December get any decisions? I interviewed 12/05 and haven't heard anything yet, which I guess is fairly expected since most schools seem to take around 2 months in my experience but Davis says 4-6 weeks so I was wondering. thanks!

Heard back today on a WL from a 1/9 interview. How likely is waitlist movement (assuming we’re speculating)?

Does anyone know how consistent Davis is with getting back to people in 3 weeks post-interview? That’s what they told me in my interview but seems like Admit data shows a different story. Thanks all :)

thanks! also, does anyone know where data from the school stats page on admit comes from? how does it report ucd admits 270 when there's 140 seats and around 100-150 waitlisted total with only a fraction of those being admitted? doesnt make sense to me

TLDR: According to US News (paid subscription), participating schools submit data directly to them. For schools that no longer report to US News, data from past years was extrapolated to this year.

Since US News is still ranking UCD, I'm guessing UCD is still sending data to US News, meaning it's likely accurate. Also, it's similar to previous years' spreadsheets:

2020! But there are sheets like that for several other years; you just have to dig a little to find them.
