i was placed on an interview hold for this school pretty early on. anyone know much much their interview holds move? for some schools ive heard its a soft rejection but for u of a tucson specifically the email said i was a "competitive applicant" and that the applicaiton would be reviewed weekly for an interview

It's actually closer to 60%, for instate people. Last year they accepted 175 for in an incoming class of 120. Plus they have a waitlist of around 25-50 people, and last year 50% of people got off the waitlist.

I was put on interview hold and then probably two weeks later got an interview invite

Has anyone OOS received an interview after being placed on “interview hold”? Or is this basically a soft rejection?

I submitted my secondary 9/30 and am freaking out bc I haven't heard back. Radio silence. I'm from Tucson all my money is on this school :((

Got one last week, from the looks of it the interview waitlist has more movement compared to other schools. Good amount of people come off of it, some even within two weeks (saw on sdn). Just gotta wait!

The interview felt like it went well, but it was a while ago now. Only updating this school because my other II were rejection and waitlist. Still haven't hear from Arizona yet

Hi, when you say 50% of people got off the waitlist. does that mean they actually accepted 25 plus the original 175 acceptances or did they accept 150 initially then 25 more from the waitlist?

Yes Same i interviewed in September. I saw a couple people on SDN last year that interviewed in sept/oct but didnt get A's until febuary. So there is still hope IMO

In my interview they said that they "have a rolling admission process and will accept until the class is full" but we got no real specifics. I wonder if they said something different in another interview day.

Can anyone confirm the post interview acceptance rate for instate students being 53% on admit. that would mean a very high matriculation rate. I cannot find anything elsewhere that confirms this. And does that include those placed on the waitlist then accepted?
