I don't remember, but I am willing to bet that we'll find out during the Thanksgiving week (if not that Monday). Best of luck!

May not be as helpful I interviewed late October and they gave us a date in late November
I feel like my numbers, my activities my research all line up with Brown and have not received an interview. Could I ask the folks that have, what unique stat you think opened the door for you at Brown?

it's the luck of the draw. We don't emphasize this enough in the application process. You can be perfect and be looked over because the adcoms are tired when reading your app and just skim through it. Hopefully it'll eventually work out for you.
Hi everyone, I feel super lucky (and shocked) to have received an II at Brown! I was wondering how the interview experience was for people who have already completed it. Thanks so much.

Very conversational! Know your application well. Be prepared to answer questions pertaining to issues in medicine (I had to answer one about the primary care shortage) and be comfortable sticking with your opinion.
Congrats on the interview!! Good luck and you've GOT THIS

Was anyone rejected today completed after 08/18? Trying to figure out if I survived the R wave or if they just haven't gotten to me yet.

For those who interviewed and received their decisions, did they email you when your portal was updated, or how did the process go?

anyone have any insight to waitlist movement potential and timing?
I mean this in the most respectful way possible. Has anyone heard anything from Brown since the shooting regarding this application cycle?

It looks like there are several people on this site who have reported either receiving A's or being WL'ed by Brown on December 22. So yes, but it looks like since then, that's really been the only movement.
are these rejections rolling or did they all go out at once?

wondering this too
Does it mean anything if you missed the R waves sent over the past 3 months, yet haven't had an II yet? Is that a good sign?

I don’t think necessarily, likely depends when you submitted your secondary. Looks like the rejections have been predominately for people who submitted July/early August so I’m guessing the rejections wave for people submitting after is still to come

same, i also applied in july and have radio silence... not sure what to make of it. i sent an update letter so we shall see if anything happens. manifesting some II's for us
The B in Brown must stand for brutal the way they've issued 2 rejection waves in less than a week
surely if i continue to dodge r waves its because they love me and are gonna give me the A and just waive the interview.
right??

I sent my first pre II update on 11/6 and my final pre II update on 1/12 and haven’t heard anything. Was complete for them in mid-July. Dodged every rejection wave so far yet it’s still silence.

What did you include different between the updates ? Don’t have to include specifics ofc but I just don’t know how to spin another letter ?? Thanks in advance!

So for the first one, it was pretty much my new positions, and I structured it based on the following: introduction, new research/publications, new clinical work, and then I delved into my other work (I am a non-trad with a very distinct job so I won't say more about this part because I don't wanna doxx myself lol) and concluded it. The second one was more of a letter of interest and why I would really appreciate the chance of interviewing with a new update or two peppered in. It hasn't gotten me an II yet, so I won't know if it works or if they will value it. Honestly I am not sure what they want at this point since it seems like the last two rejection waves were all high stat people.

No worries thank you so much! I appreciate you explaining. Ya all these waves and I’m just sooo confused :(
Hope something will come for both of us!!
Manifesting a February full of good luck for everyone still waiting on a decision!
Anyone know when they usually start letting folks off the waitlist? Mostly April/May or could it happen during future decision dates in Feb/March
What does this school look for in applicants besides being a Brown undergrad?
alpert hardly takes any non bs-md brown undergrads infamously

From what I know they like to supplement their Brown BS/MD cohort with people from nontraditional backgrounds (many gaps, graduate degrees, etc.)

I am, by no means, a stellar applicant and got an A. Went to a mid tier undergrad that most people haven't heard of unless its our food lol.
Edit: to add on this. I took 2 gap years and every applicant at my interview day was a CRC or research assistant in new england.

oh sorry for wording this poorly, meant they don’t really take brown undergrads that aren’t already in their plme bs/md program

Hoping there's a chance for me then, I've taken 3 gap years and work in a very unconventional job for this field. I was wondering primarily because they've had a lot of R waves that I've missed and there didn't seem to be any particular trend behind them.
