Can anybody who has interviewed so far say what the interviews are like? Are they more conversational? Thank you!

I figure I can add to this conversation. The interview was very conversational and relaxed. It was the most chill out of the interviews that I have had so far. They ask pretty standard interview questions as well.

Does anyone have any insight into what a post-II hold email means? I have heard mixed feedback on it, meaning that they aren't sure they want to give you a waitlist position, or they are still deciding between an acceptance/waitlist/rejection. Based on last year's SDN, it didn't seem like very many people who received the hold reported acceptances (not accounting for report bias, though). Would love to hear others' thoughts on what a post-II hold means, especially since it seems they have started a waitlist already.

It's 2 50-minute convos about your application, you better know it inside and out. Both of my interviewers were so nice and they are definitely looking for people who are the best fit for their school! Good luck!

i feel like they're due for some more acceptances and with the R's that went out earlier this week, it seems likely

I submitted the google form for the first look and campus visit the day it came out and haven’t heard anything since… just wondering if anyone has gotten any confirmation since then?

You can be graduate from a UNC system institution, move and establish residency OOS, and fall within their criteria for consideration despite being an OOS applicant.

Has anyone received an A from waitlist (not hold) yet? Or know when they usually start taking people off of the waitlist?

On SDN last year, it felt like WL movement didn't start until April but don't quote me on that. in my opinion brody and UNC pull from the same pool of applicants with both of them favoring in state so a lot of accepted applicants wait to compare financial aid in April before making a decision which causes brody to delay WL movement

Thinking it’s likely some decisions are coming today. Gonna be the longest 12 hour shift of my life waiting to see if I get a call🫠

It looks like they haven't sent out acceptances since 2/13. Do you think they are done?

Doubt it, I interviewed 2/17 so I think there’s at least one more wave before waitlisting a ton of people. Or maybe that’s just wishful thinking…

Could be wrong but I think this year was the first year they offered (or brought back) early decision as an option so I could see them being extra cautious with making sure they don’t send too many acceptances before the PTE deadline. Or hopefully they’ve just been really focused on selecting the Brody Scholars recipients and haven’t had the time yet to figure out next wave of acceptances

I don't know if this means anything but I saw someone post on UNC's forum that according to AAMC schools have to have sent out enough acceptances to fill their class by March 15. But based on reporting it doesn't seem like it.

"By March 15 of the matriculation year, issue a number of acceptance offers at least equal to the expected number of students in its first-year entering class and report those acceptance actions to the AMCAS program."

A former applicant last cycle told me that a hold is sort of the waitlist for the waitlist
