Anyone Ohio residents not hear back from any Ohio schools yet? IDK if this is a good sign (soft ii waitlist) or something worse?

How was the interview experience for those that interviewed? Format in general?

Recently accepted; it was super casual, with some general questions about me and why I want to attend. So, my advice is to make sure you know why you want to attend this school and name specific programs you want to participate in.

Good luck!

I’m thinking there will be a small round either this week or next but most of us won’t be hearing anything until May

How do you know it’s so late

Mainly just by looking through old sdn threads and neomed stresses April 15th when people are recommended to narrow acceptances down to 3 and May 1st when they are required to narrow acceptances down to 1 as really important dates.

ditto. My friend at NEOMED told me their cycle is taking some time, so it seems like it could be for an admit spot!

Hi all! I have 6 years of research experience at NEOMED, and I interviewed & got the A this cycle. If anyone wants to chat about the school, the area, etc feel free to DM

Are you picking NEOMED or OSU?

It was a tough decision, but for personal/family and financial reasons I ultimately decided OSU over NEOMED. But I still have yet to get final decisions from Case & Lerner, so that’s a factor to consider as well.

I interviewed at the end of October and they took about 8 weeks after my interview to waitlist me. I assume acceptances take about the same amount of time.

I feel like they might be waiting to get through this last set of interviews and then they will start pulling off the alternate list. So, maybe another 2-4 weeks before we see any movement.

How long did it take to receive your acceptance? In my interview today, they told me probably May or June.

Does anyone know how often they send out decisions? It looks to me like they send them out pretty randomly? Also, does anyone have any idea or feeling of if they have filled their class due to the amount of waitlists they've sent out? Like maybe they're waiting for some matriculations or withdrawls before the send any more As or WLs?

I would be pretty shocked if the class is full considering that they flat out say most of the matriculants at neomed are from the AL. I am a little surprised we haven’t seen significant AL movement yet but I feel like we may see some later this month when decisions come out for those who recently interviewed. For most of us on the AL we may have to wait until May or June though before we get a final decision.

I'm guessing everyone else who interviewed is going to get a response soon. The question becomes are they going to offer A's to people already on the WL during the upcoming wave or are they just going to set all WL aside then offer A's to them as accepted students give up their seat.

My guess would be the former but who knows.

Looking at cycletrack data the school doesn't offer A's during April, only R's. That reads to me as "we are going to send out all our A's before April to give us time to replace students who give up their seats for WL positions" and all of the R's are probably just pre-II.

The numbers for this cycle tracked in admit.org is very low for NEOMED. Guessing majority of them who applied for NEOMED are not in admit.org :-).

Having said that, whats the best way to find out or judge what’s the current accepted list, wait list etc.

True but I still feel like admit and sdn are good ways to see when large amounts of movement happens since neomed sends out As, Rs, ALs, etc in waves. I feel this is true at least until May.

I agree, however, it seems hard to judge when any WL waves are actually happening. There are only a few WL->A each month??

Does anyone know how the masters to MD program works? Like do we have to reach out and ask about it? or do they reach out if the WL doesn't move?

They will reach out to us at some point next month or early May to gauge our interest in doing one of their masters programs. If you are interested they will allow you to apply to one of the masters programs with the chance they offer a guaranteed seat in next years M1 class.
