can anyone who recently got an ii share when the available interview dates are?
i saw 11/4 and 11/10 open earlier today
i have an interview coming up!!! i was curious, is the format of the MMI generally the same as last year? i found this info on their website but i'm not sure if anything has changed since then. do they send out the specific information for station lengths/etc. when they send the kira invite link?
is the open-station still a thing that they are doing this year?
and just to confirm, is the kira a live interview aka NOT pre-recorded?
Here is the info I got from their website but it might be outdated for this year's cycle?
NYU Grossman School of Medicine is conducting all multiple mini interviews for the 2025 admissions season virtually. The multiple mini interview involves a series of short conversations between you and several different interviewers—instead of the traditional one-on-one or panel interview. You will rotate through eight virtual stations, where you will be interviewed by our faculty, students, and staff. The entire process takes about an hour and fifteen minutes.
Research shows that having applicants interact with many interviewers, instead of one or two, reduces the chance that interviewer bias affects scoring. Studies have also shown that an applicant’s scores on the multiple mini interview are predictive of their performance on clinical clerkships, measures of professionalism, and future scores on clinical exams.
The format can help you convey your relatability, maturity, empathy, and reliability—all important physician characteristics that aren’t necessarily reflected by Medical College Admission Test® (MCAT) scores and undergraduate grades. Although you may feel nervous about participating in the multiple mini interview, applicants often tell us they enjoyed the process once they’ve completed it.
There are a total of eight online interviews. Upon entering the virtual interview room, your interviewer will verbally present an open-ended question as your prompt. You then will engage in a brief conversation for about 7 minutes. Two of these stations are “rest” stations.
This process will continue as you move from station to station with the exception of our open-station. That open-station is similar in format to that of a traditional one-on-one interview, and lasts 14 minutes.
Interviewers are members of our faculty, staff, and student body who are trained in the multiple mini interview format.
Because the questions are situational, there are no right or wrong answers. Rather, each assessment focuses on your decision-making, critical-thinking, and communication skills as they relate to healthcare and social issues. Interviewers are evaluating your thought process and your ability to improvise.

yes its literally the exact same
I haven't been rejected or gotten II yet, so I was thinking of sending an update letter with a major pub. Should I also incorporate a mini letter of interest in there? I can't find any info about pre-II updates, only post-II updates

During the interview I remember them talking about how they do not really care for letters of interest. I would go ahead and send a letter of update if you do have a major pub though unless you anticipate to have more updates in the future

respectfully, in all fairness, the interviews are testing your ability to think on your feet. it would not be fair to give later applicants an advantage of questions to expect while other earlier interviewees went into the interview blind. you got this!
dumb question I just want clarification: “Thank you again for taking the time to interview with NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Although the Committee on Admissions is not able to offer you an acceptance at this time, your application remains under active consideration for a position in the entering class.”
there’s more after that, but is this the continued review email?
