I haven’t received my secondary yet so please take my word with a grain of salt, but I saw someone on a different thread say it’s the same prompts with no character count + an additional question asking “what’s your special talent”.

i’m just gonna prewrite assuming it’s this and hopefully if/when i receive the secondary, i can post the confirmed prompts here! (would love if someone did just post them now though)

Where did you see the what’s your special talent extra question? Haven’t received the secondary but on SDN someone said it was the same prompts but with no character limit

I saw someone say this on an admit thread like two days ago, but also saw that SDN conflicted it, which is why I was first hesitant to post anything here since I haven't seen the prompts myself. I swear I'm just relaying what I heard, but this was also a thread of anonymous ppl so not sure who to trust and I'm just gonna plan accordingly.

No worries, just wanted to see where you saw that! I hope someone that received the secondary emailed about the character count but historically they have said 3-5 sentences right? So I feel like it would be weird to write a lot longer than that

When I looked through last years thread on SDN they said USC actually made the mistake of having no character count in the beginning and sent an email later saying that it should be 65 but anyone who submitted full essays prior will not be penalized. So I'm thinking that maybe that's why they're sending out secondaries so slowly so they don't do it again

I just received the secondary application; I don't see any character/word count at all for those questions...

If there's no limit, stick with no limit!!! Much better safe than sorry

I just emailed them about the character count and this was their reply:

"You may use as much space as you need or as much as the text box will allow."

I haven't received their secondary yet...can someone who has check how many characters the text box will allow??

do yall think we should play it safe and keep the essays around 5 sentences? I feel like for some of the prompts writing any more would be weird but for others u could do a whole page. Any character count would be beyond cllutch too

i was verified june 10 and me neither...IS and high-stat so I would really hope I wasn't screened out! I think they're just quite slow

They're just slow. They've always been. It's probably so their servers don't crash by the hands of a bunch of people submitting at once

i'm kinda thinking they just decided they don't feel like reading apps this year so they randomly selected like 10 people to get secondaries, threw everyone else out, and then went back on vacation
