Can anyone clarify the admissions process here? From what I understand, it looks like they send out an "application received" email. Then the "interview invite" is an invitation to fill out the grad application and other forms.

1. Is the "application received" done manually? I had my application verified by AMCAS before the first day of transmission and my letters were complete a few days later. Haven't received anything yet. I had an accepted peer who received it late August last year. Has anyone gotten this email yet? Looks like they started extending interview invites as early as Jul 15 last year, so was just curious.

i did not, and i was verified long before the deadline. I hadn't assigned LORS yet for few days after the deadline though so i wonder if it pushed me back a bit

Anyone know how their review works? 2 ppl on SDN reported getting II, one getting receipted on 7/6 and the other 7/14

You receive a receipt of app and then afterwards will receive their II with no secondary. The II has a $70 fee and you have to submit a graduate application form as well as upload some other forms. I received the receipt of app 7/6 and the II 7/20

I'm ED, but some folks on SDN received IIs 7/16 and 7/17 who were OOS RD. I would assume you'll probably hear back sometime this week as I think they're still working their way through the original batch

I had a peer who got application received email end of August last cycle. Then II end of September before interviewing in January.

Yea, I think IU is just inefficient at getting to all apps in a timely manner and is suuuuuper inefficient at scheduling interviews

IS ED. Submitted 5/29. Received 7/6. Interview Invite 7/20. Waiting for interview date.

just so yall know, last year i got an II on 7/20 and only had my interview day on 10/01. this school is incredibly weird and unprofessional. good luck yall. never even got a response until april 30th and the email started with "congratulations! you've been waitlisted..." lmaooo

No, just the required documents and then a photo + a question about your legacy status. Whenever you get the date, they also require to submit another form confirming it. I was notified through email, but it was also updated in the portal at the same time

Is anyone still waiting on getting their II scheduled? I got my offer 7/23 and fee marked paid 7/28 but haven't heard anything and still don't have Letters of Rec or Prereqs marked off...

Did you get your deans evaluation sent in?

Yup that is marked received.

Still not even marked received or acknowledged by IU

My letters of Rec are still unmarked even with an II scheduled, so not sure that it necessarily matters for getting the II date.

My impatience is killing me. Two weeks since II and still nothing scheduled...

interviews don't begin until September, typically you'll be given options 2-3 weeks prior to.

Was verified before secondary opening and received receipt email 7/6. Interview email 7/15 and got all documents/app/fee completed same day. Took two weeks roughly to get pre-reqs checked off, and LOR are still not checked. Interview date was given on 8/3 for 8/26, RD in state

Do they only give you a portal if you get a II? I just got an email saying they received my app but no portal.

I got verified on 7/31 but have not heard back from Indiana about any confirmation that my app was received. How long does that usually take?
