Thinking of adding Emory to my list. Does anyone know if I will instantly receive the secondary or will it take time?

Is this more than a third mcat for you or does your most recent score have any subsections sitting below 124? I know they don’t send secondaries for those who are below a certain threshhold and who have taken the mcat more than three times…but this might just be a delay if they just got your score a few days ago

Select Emory research faculty

Refer to the following websites to identify five current research faculty you would like to meet if you are selected for an interview. Carefully review these websites to be sure your training goals align with the focus of your selected graduate programs. The faculty you select must be affiliated with the graduate programs identified as your first or second choice, with the majority affiliated with your first choice program.

Website links:

Emory MD/PhD Program

Graduate Division of Biological and Biomedical Sciences

Laney Graduate School

Emory/Georgia Tech Biomedical Engineering

Rollins School of Public Health

It is important you include the following information for each of the faculty you select: Full name, Department, and How their research relates to your interests and goals as a physician-scientist.

Faculty 1

Faculty 2

Faculty 3

Faculty 4

Faculty 5

Didn't apply last year but, in addition to the essay prompts I provided earlier, these are the MSTP fields. Faculty 1-5 have separate boxes.

Does anyone know how forgiving they are with LOR requirements?

I have a letter from an orgo professor (couple years old) and an updated psych stat professor letter (but they specifically say this one won't count). I also have a letter from a physician who was leading a med student project in physics/surgical technology I was a part of, but he wasn't technically a PI.

I graduated in 2023 and this requirement is a little brutal for me. Just wondering if any other non-trad applicant has talked to them or had luck with less-than-fulfilling the LOR requirements?

What have yall been doing if you are just starting a gap year and your answer to the first question is lowkey the same as the last question?

I treated the first question as the gap year essay (like the formal plans for the upcoming academic year) and then I treated the last question as just what I’ve been doing from May to July (also was an Emory undergrad so I wrote about some experiences I had in Atlanta right after grad)

512 MCAT no, but Emory does screen for 124 in subsections so I think it likely will.

In order to receive an invitation to submit an Emory Supplemental Application, your latest MCAT exam must have:

An overall score of 502 or higher AND

A score of 124 or higher on EACH subtest
