How did you see it in your portal? Like which tab did it show up under?
If I interviewed in September and didn't get an A in October, is it likely I'll be on the WL or get an R in March since they've likely already reviewed my application + interview? Or do I still have other opportunities to get in? Idk how Emory works

they re-review your application every month

I think historically it’s a soft WL/R. I haven’t heard of many getting in after not getting accepted during your respective month. Of course, I’m sure it’s possible nonetheless. Here’s to praying…

Oof I keep hearing this from people on reddit and discord. Idk where the knowledge about it comes from, but im def praying to be reconsidered. Thanks!
Any advice for the interview day? Just got invited and am super nervous as this is a dream school!
does anyone know what date decisions will come out for november interviewees? i feel like i remember them saying nov 24 but not sure if that was just in my head or not

Yup! It's Nov 24th. Since that's when they send the physical letters, people will start seeing updates on their portal on Wednesday I believe.
Hi! Does anyone know the post interview acceptance rate? I'm a GA resident if there's a difference!

They will send snail mail out tomorrow, but will send emails on Wednesday.

yup I heard people have to check their portal on Wednesday at 12 PM EST cuz I don't think they send out an email...? not too sure but I think portals def get updated with a new tab at that time if you get accepted
Not getting accepted in October and seeing November interviewees getting accepted is a different kind of pain

Are the dates they listed on the interview packet information the dates they mail out the letter or the date the applicant will receive it in the mail?

Given that it is impossible to coordinate that every applicant receive US mail on the same day… it is the day they send them out. See the pdf on the portal.

Thanks for the reply. I checked the PDF on the portal and it said 11/24. However, some are reporting they saw the letter already in their informed delivery so I was maybe thinking that it is when the applicant is supposed to receive the letter. UGH why dont they just email everyone at the same time.

Got it. Seems like they sent it early on Friday (or at least some). Nonetheless they DO technically notify everyone at the same time on Wednesday at noon in the portal.

so during my interview day (11/14), they said that the 11/24 date was the latest they would for sure send mails out (so in other words they could send out mails before then if they were ready earlier)! regardless, i was still expecting the letters to be sent out on 11/24 and was totally surprised when i actually got the mail on 11/24 lol
Is anyone getting accepted that is not planning on eventually attending

Is this a joke... asking for a friend
Interviewed in December and they said they would let us know before winter break. Anyone else in the same boat and just checking their mailbox like a maniac? Best of luck to everyone who interviewed too 🙏

They mail out decisions next Monday and update the portal next Wednesday at noon. Things might happen a day or so early due to the holiday, but otherwise that’s the rough schedule.

Does anyone have OPUS? And does the application status change from "application received" if you get admitted?

But we still have 3 more considerations at least, so there's still a chance! This process is so brutal and we've made it this far, so I guess we should just be proud of how far we've come (def hard to do when everything is up in the air but still true) Good luck to u!

True, although it seems like people online say it's unlikely to get an A at a subsequent consideration so my hopes aren't super high. You're right though, we should be proud! Good luck to you too!!!

well idk i have checked on cycle results and that just isn't true. i see lots of people that had II last cycle that got in after 2 considerations and someone this cycle too. i wouldn't necessarily trust what ppl here say bc if admissions do it this way, there has to be a reason and they literally say you get considered every time so it's more chances than a final decision at the first adcom meeting post-II at least. it's not over until it's over i guess
