In 2023 and 2024 decisions came out third Monday of December between 9 and 11 am. In 2022 they came out the third Tuesday of December. Itโs giving tomorrow for us this year :(

I'd have a notepad or piece of paper to jot down a few thing quickly during your allotted time to review each question! Doesn't have to be complete sentences or anything, just a few buzzwords/phrases you know would be good to mention. it can help you stay organized and also remember what you talked about with each interviewer for the sake of personalized thank-you emails. they also really appreciate connections to Long Island/New York as well as small-group learning, so maybe mention any connections/experiences you have related to those! Good luck!

sounds good, thank you!! and last question, I don't know if you can be this specific, but was it more acting or non-acting for the scenarios?

much more non-acting, i don't actually think i had an acting interview although that could be different for other people. It was mostly some behavioral questions and ethical scenarios where you had to explain your process of decision-making. hope this helps!

If we interviewed early and don't get in this round are we deferred for a later round of decisions or are we waitlisted?

they said those of us who interviewed yesterday wouldn't hear back until January so I assume it's the same for most December interviews
LMAOO yโall see that email they accidentally sent out with a template of what to say to admitted students ๐ญ

Try another browser! Worked for me in Safari but not on Chrome
Does anyone know if Hofstra offers many full tuition (or close to it) merit scholarships or grant financial aid offers?ย
Has anyone gotten the email about How to Apply for Financial Aid at ZSOM yet?
If we didnt get in the inital round after our interview is it an automatic waitlist?
What did you guys do for thank you letters? The person in the closing session specifically said you should do individual thank you letters, not one thank you letter to all the interviewers. The thing is, I don't think I'm able to pull things from the conversations at every station. In fact, I don't remember the name of every interviewer.

I did not write any thank you letters - but also no decision so....
I could've sworn on interview day that they said they'd be sending us a list with contact info of our interviewers so that we could send thank you notes. It's been a little over 3 weeks and I still haven't gotten anything. Should I just submit a general thank you to the adcom?

I interviewed on 12/17 and got an email with the list of interviewers the next day. I'm assuming we can just look them up and find emails but I think they prefer if you submit letters through the portal and specify which one's to who
Hey everyone! I have an upcoming interview for this school. To prepare, is it solid to just practice ethical MMI scenarios, know traditional questions like why xyz, practice behavioral questions like "describe to me a time where you....," and know my application inside out

I'd say so. I mean take my advice w a grain of salt bc I haven't heard back yet but I found it pretty chill even without a whole lot of prep. I'd practiced a few ethics scenarios and had behavioral questions down from previous intrerviews and just prepared for why zucker/Long Island. aside from that, for me it was mostly 4-5 minutes of answering the actual prompt ( (that took the full time for 2-3 stations) and then just chatting for the rest of the time. there were also some fun questions that seemed like they were just vibe checks

Like gigihabib I also just received (2 days after interview) the email with the interviewer names. But this email also says that updates can be uploaded, "including thank you notes although these are unnecessary". Because of that wording I think I probably won't bother sending anything. Tbh I wouldn't send anything after 3 weeks even if they didn't say that

I ended up emailing admissions and they let me know that there was a delay due to the holidays and that I should be getting the email this week. I interviewed 12/10 in case anyone else is in the same boat.
Does anyone have any speculation as to when the next batch of acceptances will come out? I guess sometime in the next 3 weeks but I wonder if anyone has a better estimate
