I am currently 9 on the waitlist for Arizona, does anyone know if there will be more movement or what my odds are of getting in there?

I just got an OOS Acceptance to Omaha this morning! I was literally about to submit my primary again! She said I am 9th on the Arizona waitlist.

For those who submitted their volunteering, if you had an activity in progress on your AMCAS application, did you update the hours to include what you've done since submitting your primary or just copy your AMCAS primary hours verbatim?

Do the volunteer activity entries have a character limit? I don't see one under the text blocks.

Idk but I picked a preference for Omaha in my secondary and got an II today

This page says they interviewed 999 & accepted 251 for class of 2030

I think they might have meant "matriculated" because their class size is 251, so unless they have 100% yield (which i doubt) I don't think they would just accept 251. I could be wrong tho.

i know i hate my school's premed advising, they're so goddamn useless, every school should have a homie like david

like i bet pound for pound UCSB is outcompeting UCI UCSD even UCB people just cause of this one dude

but this is also really untransparent on schools behalf, they should just release this information publiclly on websites instead of releasing it to a handful of select schools

i think the main difference in high SES vs low SES or 1st gen med applicants not doing well is an information/gatekeeping disparity, not IQ or conscientiousness or anything else

more undergrads would be better off hiring ex adcom or admission staff to run their premed advising offices

From what I'm gathering from the most recent video, only 140 are ultimately rejected after getting an interview by the end of cycle. The rest are directly accepted or put on a waitlist then accepted (due to very high melt rate). Does that not j mean an interview gives you around a 85% chance of acceptance by end of cycle?? Also, she says that they will give you specific tasks to work on after waitlist (getting more clinical/volunteering etc) which boost your chances even further for getting off.

Just had my interviews with Creighton. Honestly came away with a super positive impression of the schools. The students from the Q&A and my interviewer spoke so positively about the environment and opportunities!

For those that attended todays Friday Wrap-Up, did anyone feel slightly weird regarding Dean Dunlay's comments on atheists/agnostic students? For those who did not attend, he said that he hoped those that were agnostic would 'pick a side' by the end of their time at Creighton, and that atheists might want to choose a different school.

is this a sign to not finish their secondary lol? also does anyone know how often they push their religious views on students?

This has been documented on the SDN thread from last year as well. They definitely lean into the Jesuit stuff a lot more than the other schools

Another faculty member and attending made another comment later into the meeting that essentially said 'do not worry about being of different faiths/lacking faith'. Literally every other interaction I have had with Creighton faculty, students, attendings has been 10/10, so I believe Dean Dunlay was just wording things interestingly lol
