In the prereq requirements, it says "Two years of Chemistry, one of which must be Organic Chemistry, both with labs." My undergrad institution only offered one semester of organic chemistry. Has anyone else run into this problem? Would I still meet the coursework requirements?

What got you to pick here over Penn?

Would never want to bring down any other school, so let me start by saying Penn is a great place. My perception of Penn was that it was a bit more cutthroat (more competitive, more frequent exams, more gunners), and I wanted a much more chill experience. I also found that throughout the application process, a lot of the Penn med students I spoke to were more indifferent about the school as opposed to all the Columbia med students I spoke to who absolutely loved it and raved about it. Also, I knew I wanted to be in a big city for medical school, and when I visited the Columbia medical school campus, I absolutely loved it. The building is brand new and has some insane views of NYC. The on-campus housing is also amazing. The vibe is very fun and social.

As soon as I visited Baltimore it was wraps 😂 Also, many of the Hopkins med students I spoke to did not like it there and had a lot of negative things to say. That was just my experience though, still an amazing school.

Wait I've heard the opposite where Columbia has a toxic/gunner rep and people at Penn are more down to earth w/ working with the underserved in Philly. Could just be class dependent though

has anyone gotten an MSTP interview?

Has anyone heard from the MSTP at all? Based on Cycletrack they appear to be taking things much more slowly this year, but I wonder if they've shared a reason for this or anything like that.

Does anyone here who has already interviewed with them have any tips? I have mine tomorrow and its one of my top choices so I want to make sure I'm ready

Btw I dont know what the deal with the CV thing is. I dont have any real wet lab research or publications or anything for a CV and so I just uploaded my resume and got a (prolly undeserved) II lol. So who knows what adcoms even are looking for there.

I think it must be more of an opportunity to brag, but not necessary? I dont know why its not an optional upload
