I’m not sure if there is a specific date but the first round of As is supposed to be this month. It’d be a really nice prequel to thanksgiving (and the rest of the holiday season) if it was released before then! :)

I'm pretty sure sometime after thanksgiving because I was told they'd be slowing down on interviews around thanksgiving, but they could also very well do it before thanksgiving so honestly who knows (I realize this is a non answer lmao). Praying for the best for all of us!!!

May be a silly question but theyre supposed to call us right?? I've had my phone on hand since my interview I just wanna make sure I didn't make that up haha. But hoping for the best for all of us as well im glad im not the only one waiting on a decision from them :))

I'm not sure actually! I don't remember them saying they would but I do know a handful of schools that do. Thanks for the reminder that this is also a possibility :)

Can you please share interview experience. I do not have any other interviews and want to prepare as much as possible. How was the group activity? Some sites say the questions asked are a lot about policy and insurance in the USA. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

The group activity was a discussion about an ethical scenario, they tell you straight up that they are evaluating you so just be engaged and offer your genuine perspective; general advice is just be prepared to talk at length about your research. I did not have any questions about policy or insurance, but maybe come prepared to talk about an issue in the healthcare system. Honestly I didn't have any other challenging questions, but make sure to know your own app well because they knew my file pretty well. Good luck!

Any thoughts on if they are really looking for international students over domestic ones? Also are they looking for students with multiple gap years worth of research? I am curious what your impressions of the interview day were. Really liked the program, but not sure what constitutes a good fit from their angle.

my impression is they are looking for people w really strong research experience, multiple pubs if you are traditional. for gap year candidates those gap years should be in research with the explicit goal of becoming a physician investigator (letters of recommendation should back this up)

Does anyone know how many people they interview?

per current students, 200-300 people per cycle. 32 acceptances go out initially, but majority of their class gets in off the waitlist. (e.g. out of the 32 initial acceptances, 10 decide to come and the rest go to like harvard/hopkins/stanford), then they admit 22 more off WL and 10 decide to come, then they admit 12 more, etc. [these numbers are just to illustrate a point, not real]

Can anyone pls share how much you felt grilled in the interview? Also how were the ethical/healthcare related questions? This is my only interview so any advice would really truly help!

They didn't ask me any ethical questions. They focused on research, but that was mostly asking me to give an elevator pitch of my research. I think as long as you know what you did and why you did it, you'll be fine there. They did place an emphasis on 'why us', so make sure you know what makes them unique and what aspects of the program you enjoy, especially because they do things very differently. Overall, my experience with them was pretty chill.

Has anyone been accepted this month? Or do you all know anyone that has? My neuroticism is definitely getting to me

I mean looking at everything it doesn’t look like anyone has been. But I think CCLCM since it’s such a small class definitely goes a little slower than other schools so I wouldn’t let it get to you! But I totally understand that neuroticism I’ve been checking every day to see if anyone’s heard haha

They said that they fill some in november, some in december, and some in january

anyone know if they go “in order”? i interviewed in september so just not sure if i should give up hope

I also interviewed in September haven’t heard back :( but I think previous years some people have gotten in later with an early interview

Does anyone know what the odds of are acceptance after deferral? Just got the deferral email saying I will be reviewed before or in February after interviewing 12/4, "This means your application remains under consideration; it may be revisited during the interview cycle but will certainly be reviewed again in February after all candidate interviews have been completed." Kind of a bummer because I was right about to submit my update letter which I was hoping would have helped, I didn't realize they'd have such a quick turnaround.

Anyone else just get deferred :(

My understanding is that the deferral isn’t a negative thing necessarily. Just that they’re still interviewing people and probably the majority of us who haven’t gotten accepted are just going to be reviewed again later. Cause the waitlist is different because that’s when you’re just waiting for spots to open up. But apparently it’s common with CCLCM because they are so small and have ti wait for the students they have admitted to make decisions. It’s hard to take it not negatively but it just means we’ll all be waiting more
