Has anyone received any kind of scholarship from Carle? If so what was it like?

Current student, I received 50% tuition financial aid scholarship. I think they give 25, 50, or 75% tuition financial scholarships. Some of my classmates also received some scholarship. Not sure how common it is. My MCAT was not high, so I don't think it was merit-based.

One of my classmate negotiated from 25 to 50%, so you may be able to request depending on your personal circumstances.

I received an acceptance yesterday and also received a full tuition scholarship! I am not sure why as my MCAT is mediocre and my GPA was lower than their median. But they seem to be pretty nice about it!

Yes! They emailed me 2 hours after I got the email that I was admitted and said I "will be receiving a full tuition scholarship as part of the Carle Illinois Class of 2030". Very excited!

You guys got scholarships? Lol I am happy I got the A on 1/21 but didn’t hear about any financial aid

Hey, do you know what's the lowest MCAT they've accepted? I have all the other requirements and engineering experiences, but just my MCAT, I feel like it's on the lower end of their accepted average.

I was accepted with a full scholarship with a 510 MCAT!

I just got one, but its a lot smaller than most people are reporting here (10%), I am def happy to take any scholarship but I wonder if its possible to negotiate?

dang thanks for the honesty yall.. I already withdrew all of my other acceptances (mainly due to cost) and still have very high hopes for Carle but kind of a bummer to hear about all this

I'm rooting for you! The schools I'm on a waitlist for say they will start accepting as soon as may 1st, so maybe its the same here?

Still on the WL, but curious if there are any other second look days scheduled? Would love to visit and get a feel for the campus/facilities/people if I do get off.

Huge congrats to everyone who got of the WL today, and I hope other people who are still waiting hear back soon!

I just came back from the second look today, and it actually looks like they have another one scheduled soon for people that get off the WL! I don't want to discount the negative experiences that some people might have had, but I just wanted to say that my second look day was great and made me feel a lot better about the school!

You will be invited to handle donors in the anatomy lab, but everything was done super respectfully imo. I don't have any crazy stories like the ones you might have heard about earlier second looks. All the students I met were super duper friendly and you can really see the class camaraderie. Happy to go into specifics if I asked but I'm glad I went today because it was genuinely a good time. Def attend a visit day if you can!

I have a feeling they heard the feedback that people were not happy with how they were handling things. If they’ve adjusted accordingly, that’s good to hear

100% agree with you here. Something I took away from the second look day is that one of Carle's biggest strengths is that they quickly adapt to feedback from students. Regardless, everyone was so friendly, and it made me genuinely look forward to potentially committing to them.

anyone know how long people had to decide on WL offers?

No idea— I’d assume a week but I’m genuinely curious if there has been a lot of WL movement since there hasn’t really been any recording
