Until you get hit with an email, you are in the game. And honestly, at BU, I think they actually reject people they don't deem fit for them, so I wager you are probably on their tentative pile. No guarantees that you'll get one, but if they certainly disliked your application, and you didn't apply late, you probably would have been rejected by now.

Early August, so we shall see.. Thanks for the vote of confidence! Best of luck with the rest of the cycle!

My interviewer was so nice and conversational! I’ve heard that this is the norm for most BU interviews
Has anyone still not gotten rejected yet? I submitted my secondary in late July and have still heard nothing

Its a semi-structured interview format! I really enjoyed mine but it'll vary by interviewer I'm sure.

Are you planning on sending an update letter before December decisions?

I'm not entirely sure. I sent one a few weeks after interview, in early October. Not sure if another update is warranted in late November, unless I decide to write a letter of intent to attend.

The first round of admission decisions will be released in late December with the second round coming in early March. Applicants interviewed between September and late November can expect to hear from us in December, while those interviewed from early December through February should anticipate notifications in March. (this was in my post interview email)

my interview was very chill. I am sure you will enjoy it!
Any advice in when to send a letter of intent to BU?
msar only indicates letters of interest and updates for BU, are we allowed to send letters of intent?
Sorry if this has been answered. I submitted early October and literally haven't heard anything, but see people submitted after me getting Rs or IIs. Should I be worried? I did submit late. Does Boston send out a mass rejection to people at the end of the cycle or should I still hold out hope? This is my top choice.
My interview is tomorrow but I'm sick as a dog right now so I can't bring myself to care. Been bedridden for two days. I'm off tomorrow as well so hopefully I'll feel better by the morning and can take the time to prepare then. Wish me luck y'all.

Good luck! My interview here was super chill and has been my favorite interview thus far. You'll do great!!
do we think they're ahead of schedule for MSTP decisions? On Cycletrack it looks like started/stopped sending IIs earlier this year than last
Did anyone send a letter of interest post-interview? Unsure if they accept or how to classify it on their portal...

I sent a kind of combined thank you/LOI/update and just classified it as an update

Did anyone upload thank you letters to the admissions portal? I didn't realize this option was there , and I don't think they gave us guidance on this? I simply sent my letter directly to my interviewer via email.
Anyone remember when the deliberation date was supposed to be? if you interviewed they said during the interview that they would be making a decision early december and then letting us know mid/ late december... anyone know dates?

no specific dates (that I know of, at least) just "late December" 🥲

They never gave specific dates but based on last year's cycle, the earliest people received a call was on 12/12 so either next week or the week after.
T-Minus 1 week!!!!!!!!
aaaaahhh do we think it’ll be this week?! and any insight on the percentage of ppl that get in December vs March? i know most get deferred to March but I can’t help getting my hopes up…
Has anyone gotten a decision? Someone on SDN said they were deferred till march.

Pretty sure that was cuz they interviewed later. I believe decisions come out the 15th (per MSAR)
Help! I received an II today, but all dates are in January when I am on on vacation in Asia. I could try to make it work but the time difference would be tough, and it's with friends so I won't really be in nice hotels or anything like that. How should I navigate this? Should I ask for dates in Feb when I am back home? Would this impact the admissions decision based on interviewing later? This II takes priority over my vacation, so I am open to any and all options to make it work. Any advice would help! Thanks

You could definitely ask if they have additional interview dates. I had conflicts with 2 of my interviews (overlapping w/ other ii, medical procedure) and I was able to reschedule. For BU they review/make decisions in two major batches so I don't think you'd be at a disadvantage - you could definitely ask though. When I rescheduled with another school they assured me that I would have the same chance with either date (and they were a month apart)

Since BU is non-rolling, your chances do not depend on how early you interview. Everybody who interviews between Nov-Feb are reviewed and decided on in March. I would ask them if they have any interview dates available after your vacation.
