anyone know post-II acceptance rate?

Admit shows 280 out of 1061 interviewees were accepted, good for 26%. Looks like that goes down to 25% for just in-state and up to 32% for out of state interviewees.

that's so interesting, figured in-state would've been way higher than out of state interviewees, but then again Admit is a non-random sample

Yeah-correct me if I'm wrong-but I am pretty sure admit gets these numbers from the US News Report and so they are official numbers from Baylor.
I think one reason for the discrepancy is that OOS students accepted to Baylor are more likely to have applied to lots of AMCAS schools and thus are more likely to decline admission to Baylor than IS applicants.

If you check Stanford on MSAR you will find that international has an almost 100% post ii acceptance rate whereas domestic students are around 30% iirc. The reality is that they interview far fewer international applicants in the first place. I think this is also the case of bcm is/oos.

Well, these are percentages. Baylor interviews way more IS applicants (nearly 4 times more) than OOS, so even though they accept more IS applicants, the acceptance rate for OOS applicants appears higher.
Anyone thinking of submitting a Letter of Interest, or know if they even care lol. I know they accept LOIs but not updates after interviewing at least

People who are choosing between Baylor and UTSW to rank first in Texas match, what factors are you considering? What important things have you found to be different between the two schools?

me, too!!!
So looks like probably another pre-match wave in about a month and then next offers will be made on match day? Does anyone know if OOS applicants hear back on/around match day or if they are essentially waitlisted then if they haven received an offer in one of the first waves?

My friend who is an M1 at UTSW, told me that multiple classmates interviewed at both and ranked UTSW over Baylor due to the risk of Temple. Additionally, I hear that location (close to family, Dallas vs. Houston), research (may be biased, but it appears that reserach is easier to get involved w at UTSW and easier to get pubs, this is a streeeetch tho i'm sure its very available at both), and UTSW likes to match their own for residency in case anyone wants to do there.
I'm also very stuck between the 2 (and dell), so if anyone has input pls comment!
if the post-ii a rate is so low, is most of the decision almost purely pre ii? asking this question as someone who is definitely a few points below their mcat median and feels cooked

Does a prematch to Baylor guarantee a spot in the Houston Campus?

To my knowledge no. The placement is based on preference but is ultimately random so some that prefer Houston will go to Temple. There is a waitlist for Houston which is ranked, and they say people on the waitlist always get in to Temple, but how many is not clear.
Anyone sending letters of intent post-interview? If so, when is the best time to send one of these?

Baylor sends a very small number of pre-match offers. The vast majority of interviewees won’t hear back until the match

I got the A call early November and thought he said the scholarship committee meets each month but not to worry if you don't hear anthying right away because they can roll out anytime between December and March. Not 100% though--kind of a blur.

When I got my call last month Dean Vallejo said January was actually going to be the first window of release, but yeah anytime now-spring and that the majority will be post-match.

It took a couple days for the email to come for me after the prematch, I'd say give them a little bit of time!

Does anyone know if we have to pay the deposit before campus selection? Or just accept the offer in the portal?

So if we are OOS and still haven't heard since our interview I am assuming we are WL'd at this point and will have to wait until May to see any movement?

Does anyone know if certain considerations (for me, spouse's educational program requires in-person activities in one of the cities) are accounted for in the initial campus assignments, or is that managed exclusively during the appeals process?
Has anyone OOS heard back? I feel at this point someone must have? I interviewed like beginning of August and they haven’t said a word since

Same question here, I also interviewed August and haven't heard a thing.

I've heard sometime in April from an M2. Hosted at both campuses so you'll attend the one you are assigned to

Also have not heard. Honestly have received very minimal communication from BCM. Probs waiting until after campus assignment!

I texted the dean
So does literally no one know how the remainder of the OOS decisions are gonna go in terms of timeline? Aside from that tiny wave in November, it seems everyone OOS has just heard silence.
As far as WL, have they already sent out info regarding that? or did i get straight R lol

yeah, pretty much, its possible they are waiting till post feb 19 when everyone can select to plan on a medical school so they dont over admit OOS people maybe?
