I can't remember for sure but it was definitely a few days before the interview if not a week before!

Yes, 4:57 am too (pacific). Pretty crazy. I'm seeing the available days as the first half of January.

Any thoughts or advice for the interview at this school?

Also, just want to confirm it's the single interview and 4:30 pm student panel, right? Feels like a light day, so just want to double check lol

Yup! Einstein was my favorite interview of the cycle. Very chill conversation. They of course have a checklist of questions but there was not "gotcha" moment. They are looking for mission fit so just remember to weave in those components of your application into your responses.

What is their policy on thank you notes?

I sent one directly to my interviewer and he responded to me so I think that’s a good thing to do if you can find their info.

They barely asked me any questions rip... feel like most of it was spent asking them questions. Hope they still liked me

Any word on when to submit a post-interview update letter/LOI (i.e. how soon after our interview does our application go to the committee)?

are interview invites coming through at random times or are people just reporting them at different times?

Do you all think Einstein's high post-II acceptance rate is reflective of after they switched to tuition free? I'd imagine their yield skyrocketed, so how can there be such a high number of admits?

is there a chance of IIs in Jan?

What would you do if you found out that Einstein's actual post-II acceptance rate was like 5% instead of 39%? We can't do anything about it unfortunately.. Just try your best and believe in yourself!

are there any reapplicants here who have been interviewed/invited to interview?

Did you ever find out? I cannot seem to find this online. Also is there a place for an update letter in their portal because I cannot find that either lol.

I think it’s more about tempering expectations. It’s probably ~20% now. Like I’m absolutely certain I’ll be rejected because of how badly I bombed my interview, so I just pay no mind to it and focus on my other schools

NYU’s post-interview acceptance rate

NYU’s post-interview acceptance rate

1) NYU has a drastically different mission than Einstein 2) The sources of funding for full tuition for the two schools are DRASTICALLY different

These two facts make it such a stretch to apply NYU's post II A rate to Einstein, but honestly, if this kind of assumption helps you cope with X, Y, and Z better, go crazy.

CycleTrack has a 17% post-II acceptance rate last cycle for Einstein. How is it coping that 2 highly ranked NYC schools with free tuition probably have similar yield rates?

Cycletrack is a self-reporting tool that most people don’t use…

What is your point in arguing this? Yes it’s a shitty self-reporting tool, but we don’t have alternatives since the last data the schools themselves reported was from 2023, which is what this site uses. It’s pretty far-fetched to think that their post-interview acceptance rate is still 40%, which is what it was before free tuition.

Anyone have any idea about the timing for a LOI/LOCI letter to this school post-II? I interviewed in December but I know they don't release their decisions until March. I have a manuscript that is in review but not accepted yet. I'm wondering if the committee would be reviewing my app soon and if I should therefore submit a letter now, or If I can wait a few weeks to see if the paper gets accepted.

Curious -- how do you know that March is when admissions decisions are released, earliest? Interviewing here soon!

On MSAR, the school says that the earliest offers of admission go out March 2nd. Good luck on your interview!
