The only thing that is preventing me from attending Drexel is the cost of attendance. It would cost about 450k.

Rowan is DO, but I live 8 mins from the campus. So it would cost roughly 220k. Rowan is also moving up their start date for students to be grandfathered into the current loan options. They are considered one of the best DO programs, solid match list, affiliation with Virtua, state funded, good research opportunities, and overall I have heard good things about the faculty and administration. But at the end of the day going DO puts me at a disadvantage for competitive specialties, and I’m unsure what I want to go into.

If the loan options weren’t changing I would attend Drexel in a heartbeat, but with me having to take out loans to cover the entire cost, I’m unsure if Drexel would be the best option now. What would you guys do
