If you’re on cycle 2+ now, please just apply DO. I have good stats but didn’t get much love from MD programs my first cycle. I spent 2 years trying to improve my app: better MCAT score, more EC’s, more coursework to move my ugpa, volunteer hours you name it I did it. And I’m sitting on only DO II’s. If I had just applied DO the first time I wouldn’t have wasted 2 years of my life in a dead end job. If this doesn’t apply, let it fly. But if it does, just apply DO, get the degree and move on!
