Hello everyone. I am in need of honest advice on how to proceed. Stats below...

- ORM male IL resident, strong ties TN, multiple gap years

- 3.49 cGPA, 3.2x sGPA (after post-bacc)(struggled during covid, worked a lot in college)

- 509->518 MCAT (all 128+)

- 6000 clinical (why I fell in love w/ med)

- 700 research, 1 pub, 1 poster (medical)

- maybe just over 200 in volunteering?

- insert misc extracurriculars here

I really want to go into academic medicine, which schools would be the most understanding of my low gpa? For context, I had a particularly rough semester where I had to retake a genetics class I later got an A in.
