I just got rejected from an in-state school without an interview.

I am significantly above their averages stat-wise.

I was a perfect mission fit, down to basically everything in my application.

I sent my only update/interest letter to them and ONLY them. I also live pretty close and made it clear I wanted to go there.

They are not even a highly ranked school. I got in somewhere else and I'm very grateful for that, but this school was supposed to be my "gimme" and I'm pissed that I didn't even get the opportunity to interview.
