Applied to about 50 schools. No school comes close to the BS Nova has pulled this past cycle.

1) They didn't really begin their interview cycle until December (with the exception of a few stragglers for some weird reason). There was no explanation as to why they started so late. Presumably because they were so behind, they made everyone interview within 5 days of the invite, otherwise their application would be withdrawn.

2) Several people STILL don't have a decision. Never got a decision? Really? Not to mention many people who did get a decision never got an email notifying them about it. It just showed up in their portal that they had to manually check without any notification.

3) Several people report how unresponsive they are to emails. Some people sent LOIs and got a response MONTHS LATER confirming Nova received it. Like wtf?

4) They still have not started waitlist movement. They said they would start in June. Nothing yet and it's almost mid June. They historically have a pretty bad yield and their GroupMe is not filled so are they waiting for the CTE deadline or something? School starts in July....

5) THE THING THAT SENT ME OVER THE EDGE: Multiple people also reported that Nova withdrew their application on their own accord. The applicants themselves did not ask to be withdrawn. This also happened to me. When I emailed them and told them I did not withdraw my application, they said it was an accident and fixed it. Literally like two days later, they withdrew my application again. I gave up after that because I'll be going to a better school anyways. I was willing to tolerate everything else that happened but this was actually some bullshit. It's either pure ineptitude of accidentally withdrawing me twice, or purposefully doing it for whatever reason??

I really tried to give them a lot of grace throughout the entire cycle but their admissions committee seems completely incompetent. Especially because I wasted money and time (their secondaries are long asf) just to be strung along and fucked with constantly. Fix yourselves Nova. Genuinely. You didn't do a single thing correctly this entire cycle.
