undergrad prestige per UMich's chart
https://medschool.umich.edu/sites/default/files/2025-07/UMHS_5YearAdmissionTracker2025-072225.pdf
Highest possible number of interviews given to UCLA: 8 (since it’s off the chart and definitely lower than 9)
Odds of receiving an interview if you attended UCLA: 8/389=2.056%
Odds of receiving an interview if you attended Harvard: 25/146=17.123%
17.123/2.056=6.69x higher chance of getting an interview to UMich if you attended Harvard than UCLA
I don’t think the opportunities offered at Harvard are that much stronger than those at UCLA to the point it results in a 6.69 fold difference in getting a UMich interview no? Surely prestige is playing a bigger role than we think here?
