I got into both schools which is super exciting! I am trying to pick one, but I have no idea which one to pick. I am out of state for both schools! Cost comes to about equal (before merit scholarship, no financial aid expected)

UCSF

Pros

- P/F for all four years

- Better weather

- Closer to close and extended family on West Coast

- Better job/schooling location for partner

- Great for digital health research

- Very prestigious

Cons

- Very high COL

- Not too much research in my focus areas and not strong in my desired specialty.

Umich

Pros

- Lower COL

- Already built in research mentorship (I used to work there) and very focused research in my area.

- Just feels more friendly and school spirit! Umich was my dream school for medical school.

Cons

- Less digital health research and startup support

-Not great for partner for job or schooling

- Slightly less prestigious

- Worse weather
