Hopecore for WLW
Hi everyone,
I was lucky enough to have an MD acceptance this cycle and a few MD waitlists. The A I held after April 30th had a CTE date of June 30th, and I intended to wait to commit in case of WL movement. Just ONE DAY before my CTE deadline for the school I was accepted at, I was accepted off the waitlist at one of my schools!! Very quickly, the school was able to provide me with an award package that rivaled my previous A's cost. I decided where I was going to go in just 6 hours.
My point is: waitlists suck, and waiting with no answer is worse. I was one of the lucky ones who had the cushion of an acceptance in case things didn't work out. I realize this is not the case for a lot of people. Please don't give up hope until the cycle is TRULY over, which can be literally the week before orientation. This process is stupid and unfair, but you are all smart, patient, and deserving of recognition for all of your hard work.
I genuinely hope everyone has a strong end to the cycle. If you want something, never give up until you get it. I believe in you, please accept my virtual hug :P
