I’m deciding between two US MD schools—one ranked around 30–40 and the other around 100. I feel like ranking doesn’t matter as much as simply getting into medical school. What really determines success, in my opinion, is a student’s work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile.

For example, some students from top schools like Yale have gone unmatched in competitive specialties like dermatology, while some IMGs and students from lower-ranked schools have successfully matched into those same fields.
