I've been close to my family throughout my whole life and med school will be my first time living out of state and so far away. I still have a month but it's starting to hit me that soon, I won't be able to see my family everyday and randomly hang out with them anymore. I know it's a part of life and this will be good for me, but I can't help but mourn this chapter of my life at home coming to a close.

I'm trying to look on the bright side, like the school I chose does have a better curriculum and more resources than my IS alternative, so hopefully it will be better for my long term goals. My family is also excited for me and although they will miss me, they are super happy about the school.
