If you're not aware of this, Nick Baumel is M4 at the Mayo clinic who's posted some very misogynistic videos on TikTok about gynecological procedures. As a woman and future doctor I am horrified because this is exactly why some women avoid getting gynecological care, sometimes with dire outcomes. In my opinion this man should be kicked out of school and never be a doctor for his bad judgment in addition to his misogyny. However, I see some people defending him, saying his videos are funny and we shouldn't destroy this man's future. The statement Mayo put out is equally disappointing, I think they should kick him out because as doctors our job is to prioritize patient wellbeing, not to make fun of patients. What do you all think?
