Is it too desperate to send a letter of interest to Dartmouth

I’m sure the answer is 100% yes but desperation compels me to post anyway. I submitted early July and haven’t been rejected yet, despite them having rejected the majority of their applicant pool it seems.

I really doubt that a LOI would matter at this point, especially since I did send 2 decently substantial update letters (1st pub, 1k new clinical hours, some new volunteer stuff, plus a brief personalized statement of interest). And I have not done anything new since then.

It is a top choice for me due to the location (I have spent a good bit of time in rural NH and adore it) which I mentioned in secondaries/I think one of the update letters. Just dying for a chance Dartmouth ily your admissions team has been so kind

I probably won’t send a letter of interest since I know I don’t have much more to say, but it’s just killing me to not have heard anything either way. Who else is being ghosted by Dartmouth <<//33
