finally got my first II ever as a reapplicant!
a little embarrassed to admit i was starting to feel like that neurotic and pessimistic applicant. i was really starting to believe it was over for me even though it's only september. as a reapplicant that received no II's last cycle, i really started believing i would experience the same fate this cycle after seeing II's going out and even A's for do schools while i had nothing. it was even more difficult when i was still writing secondaries and feeling so burnt out knowing i already did all this last year all just for nothing.
but then i got the email, and i honestly thought it was just going to be a rejection seeing the school name pop up since i received a pre-II R during this school's first R wave last cycle. admit didn't even recommend i apply to this school. but then i did a double take when i saw the subject line and read the email like 5 times to make sure it was really an interview invite.
i am feeling super excited, but the nerves are starting to hit me. the school is very much a reach for me, and seeing some of the things people said on this school's forum on admit (went looking for school specific interview advice) is making me a little more nervous seeing the people with higher stats and seemingly "better" experiences than me discussing the pre-II R's they already got. i'm not sure what this school saw in me, but i am feeling so grateful for this opportunity i didn't get to have last cycle! i did not do any interview prep last cycle, so i really don't know what to expect or do. if anyone has any II advice i would appreciate it. i'm going to try my best, and i hope it all works out, and that this is possibly a good sign of more II's to come :)
