You guys do know it doesn't matter if your fav school's ranking dropped like 1 spot... right? or even 10-15 spots, etc. Nobody should be sitting here looking at the rankings seriously and analyzing why/what/when/where/how it moved. No residency program directors will consult the admit ranking. Yes, obviously some schools have more opportunity, funding, etc. and AMAZING if that's where you are going, but you will get a degree anywhere. A lot of your success comes down to YOU!!! your personal drive, your work ethic, your willingness to seek and build opportunity for yourself.

I went to a state university most people have never heard of for undergrad and have ended up at the same interview days with people from Ivy League schools. We all end up in the same place, just different paths to get there. Same thing for medical school! A schools ranking does not determine your success and hyper-analyzing every little thing or feeling bad about a made up ranking is not healthy. Getting off my soap box now but I hope this restores some sanity!!!!
