It looks like the cycle is wrapping up and i have one acceptance at sgu. i got an interview at emory but it looks like theyre done sending acceptances. i plan to tough it out on the waitlist, but i dont know if i should plan to reapply in the meantime. I feel ready and excited to start medical school. i would not enjoy another gap year. i want to go into a more competitive specialty and i know thats much harder through a caribbean school. should i just go for a year and try to transfer? would i be more likely to be accepted just reapplying? this application cycle took so much out of me and i really dont have anything to add to my app other than more clinical hours (i already have over a thousand). any advice would be appreciated!
