There's a lot of stuff that's bothered me about this process, but this is genuinely the thing that drives me up the wall the most. We know how much adcoms discriminate against the poor; there are literally 10x as many med students at MD schools from households in the top 20% of income vs households in the bottom 20%.

And yet they have the nerve to go and act like they care at all about the underserved? Give me a break.

Maybe these people should go and tell ME what THEY'VE done for the underserved recently other than pull up the ladder behind them. Because it sure doesn't seem like they've done much.
