The continued silence/lack of II’s is really starting to get to me yall. Anyone else out there who is feeling beaten up by this whole process?

I’m a career-changer nontrad, and didn’t put anticipated hours for any activities in my primary because I knew I had to move across the country right after my MCAT and primary submission. Since then, I’ve found a position at a research lab and have been volunteering at the local food bank, but I didn’t write that anywhere on my primaries or secondaries (they went out before I had even really moved in). Do adcoms just think I’m doing nothing? Could that be the reason I’ve gotten no II’s?

I’m drafting update letters, but the two schools at the top of my list only accept letters after you have been invited to interview.

I have no one in my life who has gone through this experience, and whenever I try to vent/tell family all I hear is “this system is terrible and stupid and I can’t believe this application cycle is this long and it costs this much” etc. I know all of that already, but there’s no one in my circle who has gone through this process/is a doctor.
