Positive feedback during interview?
I’ve heard online that getting positive feedback, like “I hope to see you here in the halls of X School of Medicine” and “you’ll be a good doctor,” during the interview is a complete wash and people just say that stuff to be nice.
But I’ve had a few interviews now where I feel like the compliments are a bit more direct. I’ve been told that my writing is impeccable (one dude said everyone else sounds like a bot), that I’d be a strong candidate for every school in the country, that they’re giving me the highest rating, etc.
Do other people get told this stuff? Is this just a tactic to ease tensions after the interview. Not sure if I should reading into ts especially because the adcom can override the interviewer’s rec anyway.
