curious to know if anyone has insight into this. i'm sure it varies by school, but any general thoughts?

i had a very positive impression of how my two faculty interviews went when interviewing with a school recently - both said they hope i attend the school and that they were really looking forward to meeting me and that my app stood out. but i really struggled to connect with my student interviewer and honestly was pretty nervous/rambly when explaining my research, to the point where i genuinely don't think some of my answers were coherent...

does anyone know if faculty vs students generally look for different things? trying hard not to spiral, but this school is a top choice of mine :(
