unfair

Life is so unfair.

I have a friend in the lab next door and we have VERY similar activities but I have a higher MCAT (524 vs. his 518) but I am an international student whereas he is not. Exact same school list (T30s only), both of us are applying MD/PhD only, same no. of publications (I have 3 second-author papers and he has only middle author papers).

While I have had 2 IIs (rejected from 1, WL from 1), he has 15 and multiple acceptances to T10s already. How can I stop comparing myself to how "unfair" this admissions process is? I'm not sure if my narrative is just garbage, or it's my international status holding me back. Any words of wisdom from fellow admit users?
