Three more days and still crashing out over the decision (UMass verus Case)
I'm stuck between UMass and Case Western, and they are diametrically opposed. I've been in Mass for years now, have friends, a support system, mentors, and connections at Boston hospitals. Everyone at UMass was thriving, the vibe on campus was great and communal, and the lifestyle seemed balanced (WIN weeks are insane). Case, on the other hand... I've never been to Ohio before Admitted Students Day and didn't vibe with the area, and I felt like I had trouble connecting with the students. I'm kind of dismayed by the time commitment (M1 summer booked with research), but think I could perform super well there also, and am lowkey obsessed with the accalim of the Cleveland Clinic.
Major issues choosing between following where I felt comfortable and happy versus following rigor and prestige. Think I could succeed at both, but as the clock ticks down, I wonder if anyone has been struggling with this kind of decision (or if everyone is just following national ranking).
