It's starting to feel really entitled how people believe so strongly that they should have multiple interviews by September. Like "yeah, of course I'm stronger than 90% of everyone that applies. In fact, I should be one of the first invited."

Maybe that line of thinking comes through in writing as well, and otherwise strong applicants are passed over.

Further to say -- schools will accept 100 out of 10,000 applicants. It's really delusional to just assume, no matter how strong we are, that we will end up in that 100, because there are hundreds and thousands that are in fact more than "good enough" for these schools.

This is not for people worried they are not good enough to get an interview. Totally different audience. You are good enough, and there's just a ton of people. Hang in there.
