Its looking like I'll end up going to a 3-year program so I feel like I need to narrow down specialty options if I want to match anything competitive. I really have no idea, so I want you all to sell why you're interested in your favorite. I've been thinking about:

Peds subspecialties: love working with kids, but not particularly interested in the general peds work (also less pay for same work sucks)

Neuro: fascinated by the brain, but lack experience in the day to day

Psych: I work in psych now. Love it, but worry I'd miss medicine

Ophtho: Like the idea of a procedural specialty, don't want to do straight surgery, mostly for lifestyle concerns
