Vanderbilt vs Einstein
Super blessed with this decision!!! Ended up with a full tuition scholarship at Vanderbilt so the costs of both schools would be about the same. The other school I was considering was Yale, but given I would be paying full tuition there and have these options, have eliminated it unless anyone sees any way that might be worth it. Any feedback is appreciated ty :)
Vanderbilt Pros:
Better reputation
Maybe better matching odds for gen surgery
No internal rank or AOA, maybe more chill
Dedicated research time/more flexibility with pre-clinical being only one year
Cons:
South politics
Far from family
Less seasons/weather
Einstein Pros:
Family and boyfriend in Philly, so much closer
Lots of friends in other parts of NYC
More diverse place
Want to live in northeast long-term
Cons:
Kind of far from Manhattan and the more NYC parts
Bronx might be more depressing than Nashville
Competitive ranking/AOA/competitive students?
