Hiiii i just need to vent in case anyone else is in a similar boat as me

i applied pretty early in the cycle to 26 MD's in the northeast region and still have not heard back from any of them... i dont know anyone else applying rn and just wondering if i should be freaking out or is it still early enough in the cycle for things to turn around ? or should i start sending out update letters ?

i have this horrifying thought that there's something god awful with my application and that's why im not getting interviews... but then i also haven't gotten any rejections yet either so that can't be the case right ?

it could def be cause my science GPA is superrr mid (I struggled a lot during pre-med reqs, i lost 2 family members to cancer and was traveling home a lot during freshman yr which threw me off) (also grade delfation, first gen low income student at an ivy) but have an upward trajectory in the later half

idk it sucks cause i've known i wanted to be a doctor since i was a kid ( obv my motivations became more personal after all the loss) but it's REALLY scary thinking that i worked my whole life towards this and nothing is coming into fruition. i just need one II to reassure me that i'm somewhat on the right track. i applied to a few DOs last week too

any advice, words of encouragement, or reassurance would be helpful. good luck to you all <3
