Food for thought:

Boston University has been sending rejections all week, 9am to 5pm, and it still hasn't gotten through even half of its applicants.

Most other US MD schools have only made decisions on less than 10% of their applicants so far. But they have the same job Boston has: most applicants have to get an answer at some point. That means every school will have to go through its own big week like Boston's, with a wave of rejections and also a wave of interview invites (IIs).

It might take time, and we don't know exactly when each school will do it. But it HAS to happen at every school. Boston made its move, and every other school still HAS to make theirs.

This reminds me of my finals against Carlos Alcaraz. In 2023, he beat me in the Wimbledon final. A few weeks later, I beat him in the Cincinnati final. In 2024, the same thing happened again: he beat me in the Wimbledon final, and a few weeks later I beat him in the Olympic final in Paris to win my first gold medal. Both times, I had to wait a few weeks. But once he made his move, my answer was always coming.

This cycle works the same way. Boston went first. Every other school has to answer with its own decisions
